Broadway`s greatest farce and one of the funniest shows ever written! This musical is the perfect crowd pleaser, guaranteed to have you rolling in the aisles with laughter. The show combines the 2000-year-old comedies of the Roman playwright Plautus with the zany 20th-century sensibilities of writers Larry Gelbart and Burt Shevelove and a terrific musical score by Stephen Sondheim.

Tanghalang Pilipino and the Lark Play Development Center of New York Present the Asian Premiere of "American Hwangap"
Lloyd Suh`s American Hwangap makes its Asian premiere at the Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino (Little Theater) at the Cultural Center of the Philippines starting September 10 until October 3, 2010. After a successful West Coast and Off-Broadway run, Tanghalang Pilipino and the Lark Play Development Center of New York collaborate to bring the production to Philippine audiences in its original English version and in Tagalog translation.
The dysfunctional comedy is set in a suburban Texas home whose members are shaken by the arrival of a long lost father who has come home to celebrate his 60th birthday. The wife and children wrestle with their broken past as they prepare for the celebration of the `hwangap`---the 60th birthday ritual that marks the completion of the zodiac cycle and also signals rebirth.
Luminaries of theater and cinema Mario O`Hara and Gina Pareno (Tagalog cast), Bembol Roco and Celeste Legaspi (English cast) lead the ensemble completed by Liezl Batucan, Nico Manalo and Jeremy Domingo. The play is directed by Chris Millado. Tagalog translation is by Joi Barrios Le-Blanc, set design by Mio Infante, light design by Katsch Catoy, sound design and original score by Jethro Joaquin and costume design by Kahlila Aguilos.
American Hwangap received its West Coast premiere in March 2009 at the Magic Theatre, San Francisco and then its New York premiere in May 2009 by Ma-Yi Theater Company. The play was produced as part of the Lark Play Development Center`s "Launching New Plays into the Repertoire Initiative" supported by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
The New York Times described the production as "lovingly drawn and filled with endearing quirks that make it a delight to watch." Time Out New York recommended the production as a "must see" calling it "a family reunion reimagined as a Western shootout."
Erik Mana returns to the stage with some strange arcane secrets only a privileged few have ever known and mastered. Witness never-before-seen magic by the country’s most revered magician and mentalist!

John Clayton Mayer (born October 16, 1977) is an American musician. Raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut, he attended Berklee College of Music in Boston before moving to Atlanta, Georgia in 1997, where he refined his skills and gained a following. His first two studio albums, Room for Squares and Heavier Things, did well commercially, achieving multi-platinum status. In 2003, he won a Best Male Pop Vocal Performance Grammy Award for "Your Body Is a Wonderland".
Mayer began his career performing mainly acoustic rock, but gradually began a transition towards the blues genre in 2005 by collaborating with renowned blues artists such as B. B. King, Buddy Guy, and Eric Clapton, and by forming the John Mayer Trio. The blues influence can be heard on his album Continuum, released in September 2006. At the 49th Annual Grammy Awards in 2007 Mayer won Best Pop Vocal Album for Continuum and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for "Waiting on the World to Change." He released his fourth studio album, Battle Studies, in November 2009.
Mayer`s career pursuits have extended to stand-up comedy, design, and writing; he has written pieces for magazines, most notably for Esquire. He is also involved in philanthropic activities through his "Back to You" fund. Several high-profile romantic relationships and his involvement with the media caused him to become a tabloid staple, beginning in 2006. - From Wikipedia.com

Sleeping Beauty OnStage (2/F Greenbelt 1, Ayala Center, Makati City) August 14 (Saturday) to December 10 (Friday), 2010
A sleeping princess, a spellbound Prince and more fairies than you can shake a stick at are all part of this quirky adaptation of the popular tale. The evil Trollarina exacts her revenge on the royal family by sending the beautiful Princess Melisande into an everlasting sleep, but little does she realize more than one spell is about to be broken by the kiss of an enchanted Faun.
A new look at an old, old tale: she is not only the spellbound beauty, the Prince is an enchanted Faun, and his kisses release more than one spell, to the dismay of the wicked Fairy Trollarina. Another children's musical from the Prince Street Players. Songs include "I'm So Mad," "It's Lovely To Be A Troll" and "Spinning Song."
