Severino Reyes’ original zarzuela that awakens our sense of heroism and nationalism, even as we fall madly in love with another human being. Under the direction of Carlitos Siguion-Reyna, music by Chino Toledo, choreography by Edna Vida, featuring some of our popular young performance artists, this production, employing irony, will acknowledge the truth that our country has a deep wound that has never fully healed – a truth that if we do not accept and recognize will forever make our country a nation without a real sense of nationhood and democracy.
