About the Show:

Part of the concert's proceeds will go to the New Hope To Asia Christian Foundation, a non-profit school organization that has been reaching out to the street children of Cainta since 1999.

"Coming Home," as the name implies, is a homecoming concert for Fil Am singer / songwriter Dennis Sy, also known as the lead male singer and band leader for the NY-based group Chapter 2, Artist Of The Year awardee at the 2006 LA Music Awards, and the first Filipino band to perform at the world-renowned Carnegie Hall, Weill Hall in New York.

Outside of his extensive involvement with Chapter 2, Dennis has been bringing pride and attention to New York artists in the Fil Am community across the country. One of his notable works is in spearheading the NY Handog Project that revived the song "Handog ng Pilipino sa Mundo" in 2010. His years of active participation in the community paved the way for his receiving the 2011 Outstanding Artist Award from the FANHS (Filipino American National Historical Society) -- NY Chapter. He continues to write and interpret songs that promote his heritage as a Filipino, from the highly regarded OFW anthem "Pilipino Ako," a touching Christmas ballad "Ss Araw ng Pasko," and most recently for the Sendong Typhoon rebuilding efforts with his original composition "Sama-Sama Harapin Natin ang Bukas."

On July 20, 2012 Friday, Dennis will be bringing his brand of entertainment to Music Museum. It'll be the first time he'll be performing for his friends, fans, and supporters back home since he left the country in 1994 to pursue a career in New York as an IT professional. But he never said goodbye to his music and songwriting, and "Coming Home" sets out to present a glimpse of his musical journey for the past 18 years.

It'll be a show that will likely bring back a lot of memories for the concert goers through songs that he grew up with, but it will also feature a mixture of current pop hits from his experience of being with one of the most respected and recognized show bands in the East Coast.
