OPM THROUGH THE YEARS AT SMX

The powerhouse cast of Basil Valdez, Vernie Varga, Joey Albert, Gino Padilla, Charlie Green and the Company are performing together for the first time in OPM Through The Years. Produced by Viva Concerts and Events and presented by Mang Inasal, the concert takes place at the SMX in Mall of Asia on Saturday, July 17.

As the show`s title clearly says, OPM Through The Years will present the finest of Filipino music from Basil`s breakthrough recording of George Canseco`s Ngayon at Kailan Man in 1978 to Charlie`s hit cover of the Hot Dog`s Pers Lab this year. Directed by Roxanne Lapus with Egay Gonzales as musical director, OPM fans can rest assured that they will be treated to not only the best songs of the past 30 years but also to superlative performances by the talented cast.

Basil made hits out of You, Let The Pain Remain, Gaano Kadalas Ang Minsan, Lift Up Your Hands, Tuwing Umuulan at Kapiling Ka and others. Vernie recorded the original version of the classic Kahit Isang Saglit by Louie Ocampo plus You`ll Always Be My Number One, Love Me Again and My Love My Soul My Everything. Joey Albert is known for Tell Me, Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin, Iisa Pa Lamang, It`s Over Now and others. Gino made hits out of Gusto Kita, I Believe In You and Let The Love Begin. 13-year old Charlie of Britain`s Got Talent fame, got his hands on his first OPM with Pers Lab. And then there is Company with over twenty years of original big sellers like Everlasting Love, Now That I Have You, Muntik Na Kitang Minahal and many others.

OPM Through The Years is a celebration of Filipino music by some the best Filipino talents today that no music lover should miss.
