Bulgarian pianist Georgi Slavchev and the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra present the majestic "Emperor" of Beethoven, his final and best-loved piano concerto. Slavchev, an international soloist of acclaim, performs for the first time in the Philippines and his performance is certain to dazzle Manila music lovers. The programme also introduces Bela Bartok's "Two Pictures," virtually unknown in the Philippines, but which remains one of his most successful works, being extensively performed in Europe and elsewhere. To round out the concert, Maestro Ochanine and the PPO present the final symphony of the prolific Franz Joseph Haydn, his 104th Symphony, the "London," which is also the last of the twelve "London" symphonies.
