Hazel's

Comment: When my family and I went to Australia for vacation way back in 2009, this was being staged at the Sydney Opera House. I felt bad I missed it since I only found out about it the day after the event. Good thing Madame Butterfly is now here in Manila. Finally! My chance to watch and with my friends pa =)

Rating: 4/5

Review: If you are going to watch one opera in your lifetime, let it be "Madame Butterfly." So heart-wrenching that I couldn't stop crying at the end of the show. I'm also delighted that a translation was posted for every Italian line sung so people watching could understand. The Japanese and Mexican leads were amazing as well as the Filipino supporting cast. Bravo! Bravo! We gave you all a standing ovation that night =)

The fund shall also enable teachers to teach arts in the classroom and develop materials on Philippine art and culture. While the CCP receives government funding, it is continually challenged by the rising cost of production and expenses related to the expansion of programs, especially in the area of arts education and audience development.

CCP Members will have access to an array of Exclusive Privileges such as discounts, invitations to special events, access to working rehearsals and more. Members become Partners in making “art matter to the life of every Filipino.”
